Harvest homes: `thanks' Harvest Built Homes recently held the second annual Harvest of Dreams Benefit Dinner & Auction, geared to raise funds to begin the first affordable house. Our pilot project, the straw bale classroom, has been completed; and we will now move forward with the affordable housing program, providing hands-on education for our youth. Our challenge is to find a lot that's affordable, and then to move forward with the building process. Harvest Built Homes would like to thank all of the members of our community who made our event such a success. During our social hour, we made the rounds through the silent auction items donated by many businesses and individuals. We were serenaded by the gifted musical talent of Steve Berman and the Piper's Picnic. A wonderful dinner was enjoyed by all at the Primavera Restaurant, our gracious hosts, followed by a lively auction called by Leslie Freeman, auctioneer who entertained with wit and charm.
