--> --> June 21: Row Ashland scores at PNW regional event Ashland Daily Tidings The adult division of Row Ashland continued to make waves in the world of rowing - this time at the U.S. Rowing's Pacific Northwest Regional Regatta at Lake Vancouver, Wash. The event was held June 15 through 17 and featured teams from Alaska, Canada, Oregon and Washington. Ashland's Beth Giesmar and Paula Backus took home top honors for the squad with a second place finish in the 43-49 year-old pairs race. Ashland's Jim Sims had a strong last 250 meters to finish third in the lightweight single scull race in the 55-59 age range. The Row Ashland squad will attend the Oregon Games July 8 at Lake Vancouver. Email your...
