--> --> Dec. 21: Mt. Ashland to hold board class Ashland Daily Tidings A new snowboarding program for youths will start in January at the Mt. Ashland Ski Area. The Rippin Riders program is open to kids 9 to 13 years old and will take place on 12 consecutive Saturdays starting Jan. 12. The fee for the program is $250 for 60 hours of lessons. Lift tickets are not included and a rental package is available. The deadline to register is Jan. 7. Applications are available at www.mtashland.com, at the ski area or at the Ski Ashland business office at 693 Washington Street, Ashland. SOU's T.J.
