[an error occurred while processing this directive] (none) Hilo plane crash leaves 1 missing HILO, Hawaii (AP) - A small sightseeing plane with one of its engines apparently on fire crashed into the Pacific Ocean. Eight people were pulled safely from the water Friday evening but rescuers were searching for a ninth person. The nine-seat Piper Navajo Chieftain was approaching Hilo International Airport when the pilot said he was going to ditch it in the ocean off Honoli`i Point, about four miles from the airport. The plane went down at least 200 yards from shore.
