Jori Lace Beveridge, 18, was sentenced Monday in Jackson County Court in Medford to two years probation for her role as a look-out during a robbery of the U.S. Bank in Ashland in December of 2002. She avoided a minimum 7 1/2-year sentence by agreeing to cooperate with federal prosecutors in their case against her boyfriend, Nathaniel Bosworth, 20, of Ashland. Bosworth pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one count of armed bank robbery and one count of carrying a firearm during a crime of violence. He is set to hear his sentence on June 16. The maximum penalty for armed bank robbery is 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The maximum for the firearms charge is seven years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Ashland Police & Fire o 10:56 p.m. Monday - A piece of a water fountain was broken off in the Downtown Plaza. Damage was estimated at $50. o 9:41 p.m. Monday - A juvenile female was cited for shoplifting $6.70 worth of bubble gum and candy from DJ's Video on Ashland Street. Police also cited her for stealing $3 worth of items from the Dollar Tree on Ashland Street and shoplifting cigarette lighters, water balloons and a stuffed animal from the Market of Choice on Siskiyou Boulevard. o 9 a.m. Monday - A vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot on the 600 block of Siskiyou Boulevard.
