Though Cash is never impersonated, his story is told with more than two dozen of his classic hits, including "I Walk the Line," "A Boy Named Sue," "Folsom Prison Blues" and more. Local actor John Leistner, New York City-based Cat Greenfield and Brian Russell Carey, Nashville-based Philip David Black and Los Angeles-based Sean Wolf Galuszka join the cast. The show runs through April 17 at Oregon Cabaret Theater, First and Hargadine streets, Ashland. Curtain is at 8 p.m., 1 p.m. for matinees. Tickets are $35, $21 for bistro seating, and can be purchased online at oregoncabaret.com or by calling 541-482-2902. Hoot and Holler Boston-based duo Hoot and Holler — Amy Alvey on fiddle and Mark Kilianski on guitar — will perform traditional songs and tunes, along with their original compositions, at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Public House, 258 A. St., Ashland. According to WAMU Bluegrass Country, the duo "delivers on their debut EP 'Nothing If Not Young.' Grads of Berklee College of Music, they have top-notch chops and created a sound that's pleasantly refreshing ... the soundscpes are rooted in old-time music but with a contemporary feel ... John Hiatt Rock guitarist, pianist, singer and songwriter John Hiatt will present an acoustic show at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Historic Rogue Theatre, 143 S.E. H St., Grants Pass. His newest album, "Terms of My Surrender," was released in 2014 on the New West Records label. Tickets are $35 for general seating, $45 and $55 for reserved seating.
