--> --> Committee sets Air One hearing Ashland Daily Tidings TALENT - The city's police helicopter advisory committee is holding a public hearing to gauge citizen testimony on the use of Metro Air One. The helicopter, equipped with infrared radar and a spotlight, is used to aid Talent police officers patrolling the city, but when a petition was circulated this summer the City Council grounded the helicopter from all but emergency rescue calls and established the police helicopter advisory committee to look into the matter further. Several residents have complained about the helicopter's noise and its use of floodlights. The meeting is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Talent Community Center, 206 E. Main Street. The city's attorney, Bill Mansfield ,will give a presentation on the city's liability concerning the Metro Air One helicopter. Email your...
