Appel presents OSF play discussion Oregon Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Libby Appel will present an informal discussion about the four plays opening the 2001 season from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 in the Margery Bailey Room of the new Festival Education Center. Members of the community are invited to bring a brown-bag lunch and learn more about the plays that visitors and community members will be seeing. The event will be taped by RVTV for future television broadcast at yet unscheduled times. There is no charge for this event. Previews begin Feb. 16. The season opens on Feb. 23 with William Shakespeare's "The Tempest," to be followed by Pedro Calderón de la Barca's "Life is a Dream," "Enter the Guardsman" (book by Scott Wentworth, music by Craig Bohmler, lyrics by Marion Adler), and Horton Foote's "The Trip to Bountiful." David Lindsay Abaire's "Fuddy Meers" opens in the Black Swan March 31, and Regina Taylor's "Oo-Bla-Dee" opens in the Angus Bowmer Theatre April 21.
