Real-time data collected is reported to the air quality index page on the DEQ website and can be viewed at www.deq.state.or.us/aqi/index.aspx . The city has been advocating for an air quality monitor to be located in Ashland given the wildfire smoke levels over the past few summers. This tool provides Ashland residents and visitors a means to determine the air quality in Ashland during the wildfire season. Smoke levels can rise and fall depending on weather factors, including wind direction.
