HOLIDAY DRIVE AHS club helps fill Ashland Emergency Food Bank By Joe Zavala DailyTidings.com By Joe Zavala Posted Nov. 22, 2014 @ 12:01 am By Joe Zavala Posted Nov. 22, 2014 @ 12:01 am » Social News Ashland High’s Global Citizen Corps Club raised 935 cans for the Ashland Emergency Food Bank and expects to surpass its goal of 1,000 on Monday, club co-president and AHS senior Ann Kim said on Friday. Kim and her fellow co-president Clara Honsinger, also a senior, organized the food drive, which began two weeks ago. The food bank provides emergency food supplies free of charge to people in the Ashland/Talent area who “would otherwise go hungry.” Kim said she was worried the students wouldn't reach their goal, but a competition between math classes contributed to a spike in contributions.
