Britt Festivals sets dinner, auction Britt Festivals' annual gala fundraising dinner and auction, the "Bash," will starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 8 in the Red Lion Ballroom, Medford. This year's Bash features a sumptuous dinner, 45 live auction packages, over 80 silent auction packages and live music and dancing by Zion Train. Auction highlights include a guitar and photos autographed by 23 of Britt's 2002 headliners, original art works, one week at Whistler Village, Napa Valley private tour, Seattle Seahawks, Sonics and Mariners tickets with lodging and dinner, many local dinner parties and Britt packages including premium tickets for the most sought-after concerts. Everyone is invited to the 2003 Britt Bash, but seating is limited and reservations are necessary. Tickets are on sale at $75 each. All proceeds will benefit Britt programs in 2003. Now in its 41st year, Britt Festivals is a non-profit organization that presents and sponsors performing arts. It supports those activities through on-going education and audience development programs and through cooperation with educational, civic, cultural, and governmental organizations in Southern Oregon. Britt honors its mission through the engagement of the world's top performers in classical music, dance, jazz, blues, folk, bluegrass, and world, pop and country music. In addition to the presentation of concerts, Britt also maintains a formal education program, the Britt Institute, which hosts a wide variety of learning through a multi-faceted approach of summer camps, workshops, artist residencies, grade school and preschool programs, lectures and adult learning opportunities. Britt's 41st season of concerts in Jacksonville will be announced March 13 with tickets on sale to members only from March 18 to April 30 and tickets available for the general public beginning May 1.
