--> --> Let the BLM proceed on the monument Letter to Senator Smith: Please use your influence to see to it that the Bureau of Land Management proceeds with the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument Management Plan finalization ASAP. The otherwise normal process, which includes thorough public input as well as scientific evaluation, has been frustrated by the naysayers whose preferred goal is to retain the status quo for personal reasons. The land included in the CSNM is public land, owned by all the people of this country. We ourselves have walked the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail as it traverses the crest of the Siskiyous through the Monument and enjoyed the beauty of the landscape and the views from these heights.
