Second annual 'Singing to the Trees' Lomakatsi Restoration Project's annual Sing to the Trees in Ashland on Tuesday. The event begins on Park Street, as the guests hike up to Siskiyou Park, with several stops along the way. Photo by Larry Stauth Jr. Monday Dec 26, 2016 at 6:30 PM Dec 26, 2016 at 6:32 PM Lomakatsi Restoration Project hosted its second annual "Singing to the Trees" event Tuesday on forest trails in Siskiyou Mountain Park off Park Street and Crestview Drive, thanking the trees "for all they do." Ashland-based Lomakatsi is a nonprofit organization that implements forest and watershed restoration projects in Oregon and northern California. "Lomakatsi" is a Hopi word meaning "life in balance."
