Volunteering offers an opportunity to spend time meeting other film lovers and supporting the art of independent film. A team of more than 350 people come together each year to help make the festival happen. Volunteers are needed in many different areas — serving at party events, transporting filmmakers, ushering and much more. For more information on the volunteer areas and to fill out a volunteer form to go ashlandfilm.org , call 541-488-3823 or email [email protected]. Prospective volunteers will have a chance to meet the staff, board and find out more about what festival volunteering is all about at a new volunteer orientation meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Historic Ashland Armory. The 15th annual festival will be held from April 7 to 11.
