The Jackson County Recycling Partnership is hosting the event, which will cost $5 per household for residents and $5 per yard for businesses and those with large loads. Only clean, presorted plastic will be accepted. Participants should presort their plastic into three categories: soft plastic, hard plastic and nursery plastic. The round-up is no longer accepting video cassettes, tapes or 8-tracks unless the tape is removed in advance. A recycling partnership news release said the new location will help improve logistics and save resources, money and time. Unlike the previous site, the Jackson County fairgrounds, the transfer station already has a baler, forklifts and other equipment as well as ample storage.
