Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies have been searching back roads but have not turned up any clues, said Detective Gabe Burchfiel. Bronson, a retired nurse, has been getting therapy for depression, he adds. Bronson was last seen about 10 p.m. at her home at the head of Emigrant Lake, where she lives with her husband, Jim Bronson. Her brother, Craig Rasmussen, says there were no signs of struggle or abduction, no domestic issues and no signs of dementia or instability, no bank activity and nothing suspicious in her emails or other messages. “Deputies are searching all the roadsides and spreading the missing person information,” says Rasmussen. Bronson was active in Ashland, with many friends, taking classes and going on local trail hikes, he adds. No one has heard from her since Sunday night. “Family and friends have been unable to locate her at familiar places and have received no communications from her,” notes Rasmussen. “Bronson’s cell phone and iPad were left in her home, uncharacteristically, as she kept in daily communication with her wide circle of contacts.” Her Oregon car license is CA18775. Anyone who may have seen her or her vehicle or know anything about her disappearance is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 541-776-7206. John Darling is an Ashland freelance writer.
