Service clubs spruce up Scenic Park Comment By Local report DailyTidings.com By Local report Posted Mar. 31, 2016 at 12:01 AM By Local report Posted Mar. 31, 2016 at 12:01 AM » Social News The Ashland Kiwanis club teamed up with the Lithia Springs Rotary Club on Feb. 20 to help the Parks and Recreation Department trim and do some other gardening-type work at Scenic Park. Both clubs have “adopted” this park for quarterly work of this nature. Kiwanis volunteers included Russ Chadick, Lynn Ransford and Abby Kollar. Lithia Springs Rotary volunteers included Graham Lewis, Cindy Barnard, Frank Flammang, Bob Hilton, Jim Larsen and Tyson Mueller. In addition, two other volunteers helped out: Joe Kollar and Jason Johnson. The Ashland Parks Department coordinates the quarterly joint project. Parks Department volunteer coordinator Lori Ainsworth worked with the two clubs in the Feb. 20 project.
