--> --> Man won't face death penalty ASTORIA (AP) - The Clatsop County district attorney said he's no longer pursuing the death penalty against Leslie Roy Simpkins, whose first aggravated murder trial ended with a hung jury earlier this month. Simpkins, who faces life in prison when his next trial begins Feb. 26, is accused of helping to kill Dana Ann Bailey aboard the motorboat Foxy Lady in the Warrenton Mooring Basin in August 1998.
