--> --> William H. Ford A memorial service was held Jan. 26, 2002 for William H. Ford, 90, who died Tuesday Jan. 22, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, Calif. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of Christ, 4101 Hope Lane, Dunsmuir Calif. 96025, or to the Dunsmuir Botanical Garden, care of Dunsmuir Parks and Recreation, 4841 Dunsmuir Ave., Dunsmuir Calif. 96025. Ford was born Jan. 14, 1912 in Cooke County, Texas. He attended Southern Oregon Normal School in Ashland, and was the principal of Bellview School. He married Dorothy (Ford) Burns June 5, 1937. He later was a conductor for Southern Pacific, and was head conductor for the Shasta Division at the time of his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ford; son William S. Ford, of Tracy, Calif.; daughters Judy Brown, of Columbia, Calif., Sue Sauer of Redding, Calif.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Email your...
