Selected art students from Southern Oregon University, and local artist Denise Baxter, are assisting in painting the 24-foot tall, 53-foot long work commissioned by Ashland residents Kathryn and Barry Thalden, in cooperation with the city of Ashland, in honor of the relationship between the two sister cities. A ribbon cutting celebration is planned for the Independence Day weekend.
