During "Dia del Niño," a day celebrated in most Latin American countries, children are honored by the community and adults encourage children to enjoy their childhood. Adults also encourage children to enjoy the music, food and games of their culture. At Walker, The Day of the Child is also an opportunity to celebrate the many cultures represented at the school and in the community. The celebration, which includes food, games and entertainment, begins at 5 p.m. and ends at about 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. There's no charge, but donations at the door are encouraged.
