Main St., Ashland. The event to fight hunger benefits Uncle Food's Diner, the Ashland Emergency Food Bank, ACCESS and Food Angels. Alan Berman, Stateline, and Misner & Smith will perform a range of live music at the event . Tickets cost $25, $10 for students, and can be purchased at Paddington Station, 125 E. Paul Turnipseed Trio Guitarist and vocalist Paul Turnipseed, acoustic bassist Jeff Addicott and drummer Mike Fitch explore New Orleans and Latin rhythms, as well as jazz and blues standards, at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Belle Fiore, 955 Dead Indian Memorial Road, Ashland. Admission is free. Call 541-552-4900 or see www.bellefiorewine.com. Art in Bloom Festival The 15th annual Art in Bloom celebrates spring with a showcase of regional artists, horticulturists and more. Look for a selection of photography, jewelry, garden decor and many other handmade items along Central Avenue, East Main and Bartlett streets in downtown Medford. Visit the information booth in Vogel Plaza to pick up a map of the events and lineup of weekend entertainment, and to enter a drawing to win gifts from local artisans. There will be food, a children's art tent and more. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 9, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 10. Physical Education In conjunction with its spring exhibits, Schneider Museum of Art will present Portland-based Physical Education, a dance and performance art troupe featuring Keyon Gaskin, Allie Hankins, Lucy Lee Yim and Takahiro Yamamoto, at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 10, in the main gallery of the musuem on the Southern Oregon University campus, Siskiyou Boulevard and Indiana Street, Ashland. The performance will be presented within the scaffolding and mural of Portland artist Garrick Imatani's installation piece inspired by painter Diego Rivera's Works Progress Administration, part of the Southern Oregon Site Project installation. Siskiyou Saxophone Orchestra Oregon Center for the Arts will present the premiere of Nebraska composer Randall Snyder's "Labyrinth" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. The composition is in the style of steampunk, influenced by Chine Nieville's sci-fi novel "Perdido Street Station." The concert will feature bass saxophone played by SOU student Andrew Farina, along with bass clarinet quartet Bassilisk and New Specs Quartet, for an eclectic mix of avante garde, pop and opera music for sax and clarinet. Rhett Bender directs. Tickets cost $10, $5 for students, and can be purchased online at oca.sou.edu/events or by calling 541-552-6348.
