--> --> SOU gains `Distinction' awards Ashland Daily Tidings Southern Oregon University was recently honored with the "2001 Educators of Distinction" award by Saludos Hispanos/Saludos.com, the leading career and education site and magazine for bilingual Hispanics. The awards are given to institutions that have demonstrated a commitment to higher education success for Hispanics. "Education is the key to success for Hispanics," Saludos Hispanos publisher Rosemarie Garcia-Solomon said in a written statement. "We congratulate these institutions that are leading the way, providing high standards of education, career planning and counseling to Hispanic students."
