It helps that Jones' father happens to be Dr. Charles Jones of Jones Family Dental, who will provide the care from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, from a van parked in the lot at the Ashland Emergency Food Bank. To schedule an appointment, call Ethan Jones at 541-661-5823. He is also meeting with the Ashland Community Resource Center in hopes of making the service a recurring event. Pan: Ashland resident Philip Lang's two-decade vendetta against the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, resulting in multiple lawsuits, as well as repeated legal challenges to Ashland city government decisions with which he disagreed. Lang's latest salvo against OSF, claiming multiple areas on the festival grounds violated the Americans with Disabilities Act, was recently dismissed by a federal judge. Pick: John Muir Elementary School, which is testing a conflict-resolution model called Restorative Justice, which aims to settle disputes between students through mutual understanding and communication. Borrowed from the court system, the model asks offenders to make restitution, understand and explain their actions and make things right with victims.
