Third St., Jacksonville. Masters is based in Portland, and Turner is based in Jacksonville. The two often play Al's Den and Vie de Boheme in downtown Portland. Admission is $3. Children's Festival The 50th annual Children's Festival — sponsored by the all-volunteer Storytelling Guild of Jackson County — will be held Saturday through Monday, July 9-11, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 S. Fir St., Jacksonville. There will be hours of kid-related entertainment and activities intended to inspire imagination, with more than 35 hands-on art, craft and science projects and the daily feeding of litter-eating dragons Rosabelle and Pebbles. Younger kids can make their own puppets, create sand and easel art and have their faces painted, while older kids can make candles and pottery and do wood-working. The festival will be from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. Food will be available at the site. Admission is $3. Jazz Vespers Jazz drummer and vocalist Dave Tull will be featured during Jazz Vespers at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. Tull will be joined by local pianist John Dabaco and bassist John Zalabek. Tull is well known on the Southern California music scene, and he's toured and recorded with flugelhorn player, trumpeter and composer Chuck Mangione. Tull added songwriting to his list of talents with his 2008 album "I Just Want to Get Paid." Admission is free. Nahko & Medicine for the People The American world music collective is a five-member group headed by frontman Nahko Bear, and their music is a fusion of various cultural musical influences. They'll perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 First St., Jacksonville. Tickets are $39 for reserved seats or standing room only, $34 for lawn seating, $24 for age 12 and younger, and can be purchased online at brittfest.org , at the box office, 216 W. Main St., Medford, or by calling 541-773-6077. Miss Lonely Hearts Miss Lonely Hearts will perform its hard-driving honky-tonk sound at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at The Wild Goose Cafe, 2365 Highway 66, Ashland. The Santa Cruz band first turned heads on the northern California country music scene with the release of its album "Crying Bottle Blues" in 2012, packing bars and dance halls up and down the West Coast and opening for such touring acts as The Devil Makes Three, Eileen Jewel, Brothers Comatose, Wayne Hancock and others. The group's third album establishes frontman Wyatt Hesemeyer as a songwriter worthy of George Jones and Townes Van Zandt.
