Says headline mislead The headline on page 8 of the Oct. 7 Tidings, "Germans offer billions to Nazi victims," was misleading. The article went on to say that it was inadequate and a pittance. Ironically, on the front page of the same issue was a large article stating that $3.75 billion will be paid to settle lawsuits claiming potential health problems from one diet drug manufacturer. German government and industry combined settled for $3.3 billion to compensate victims for World War II atrocities. This is less than Americans are getting in this product liability settlement. Where's the justice? Your headline should have reflected the relatively small compensation offered, rather than implying it was generous.
