--> --> Seniors in line for annual flu shots Ashland Daily Tidings The Ashland Senior Center and the Ashland Community Health Center will administer flu shots from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Senior Center in Hunter Park, 1699 Homes Avenue. Residents who are covered by Medicare or Oregon Health Plan can receive the shot free of charge but must show their cards before receiving the shot. The shots are also available to those without Medicare or Oregon Health Plan for $15. The shots are available to everyone, but extra focus is being given to seniors and others with greater health needs. "Seniors are actually more at risk for having complications if they get the flu," Senior Center Director Sharon Laws said. "If people have questions about whether they should get a flu shot or not, we suggest they talk to their physicians. It really is an individual thing." The Ashland Senior Police will help direct traffic on Homes Avenue. Parking will be available on both sides of the street and at the parking lot for the Daniel Meyer pool.
