Jackson County Sheriff Corey Falls said Tuesday that his department's search and rescue team recently had been sent out to search for 32-year-old Sellars, who was last known to be in the area of Hyatt Lake, but hadn't turned up any sign of him so far. The Klamath Falls resident, accused of being the driver in the Dec. 19 pursuit, is wanted on charges of attempted first-degree assault, unlawful manufacture and possession of a destructive device, manufacture, delivery and possession of methamphetamine, being a felon in possession of a firearm and attempt to elude police by vehicle.  Oregon State Police say that Sellars and 24-year-old William Noble fled into the woods when their Ford SUV finally stopped near milepost 18, while 25-year-old Levi Cortez surrendered to police at the scene. Noble surrendered the next morning at a home on Highway 66. Sheriff's deputies and state police SWAT team members searched for Sellars for several days without success. The weekend of the pursuit saw temperatures in the 20s and snow throughout the southern Cascades, and a family member told the Daily Tidings recently that they fear Sellars never made it out of the woods.  Cortez and Noble are being held in the Jackson County Jail on charges similar to Sellars'. State police say the pursuit began when a trooper tried to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation near Klamath Falls. According to a probable cause affidavit, Cortez told police that Noble had made an incendiary device out of a gas can and burning materials, which he allegedly threw at pursuing troopers. Noble allegedly also made comments about shooting at law enforcement officers. Falls said the sheriff's department is sharing responsibility for the case with state police because of the department's role in the search effort.
