Photo by Sarah Hale Seniors ready to launch The Ashland High School senior class is counting the days to graduation. Their parents are counting pennies to throw them a party. The class of ’06 had its Senior Class assembly and group photo Tuesday, and is revving up for graduation May 9. Liza Eatinger fundraising for next Friday’s party right after graduation. “It’s just good to offer them one last big party,” Eatinger said. She said a group of about 15 to 20 volunteers has been working for a year to organize the event at Southern Oregon University, and about 100 parent volunteers will help out. The party will start after the graduation ceremony. Seniors will be in SOU’s Stevenson Union arena most of the night, and they will have games in the McNeal Pavilion gym and pool. Activities will happen from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. May 10. Eatinger said volunteers are three quarters of the way to reaching their goal to fund the event not covered under ticket sales.
