The officer, 33-year-old Michael T. Slager, is alleged to have shot 50-year-old Walter L. Scott as he ran away from Slager. Scott was pulled over in North Charleston in his Mercedes-Benz on Saturday for a broken tail light, and Scott’s brother said he believes his brother was running away because he owed past-due child support payments. Rand Paul said earlier today in Washington, D.C., after announcing his intent to run for president of the United States. MUST-SEE VIDEO: Bobcat vs. shark — real or fake? A video of a bobcat facing off against a shark in Florida has garnered some attention, some from viewers who believe the video is fake. The file was sent to Local 10 news by a viewer, John Bailey, and it shows a bobcat walking along the beach with a shark in its mouth. At least one group believes the image isn’t too crazy to be real: the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
