All proceeds from the Emz Blendz Soap Company soap bars will go to the Pulse Victims Fund at www.gofundme.com/PulseVictimsFund . “When the massacre happened, I was completely devastated,” said Emily Whitlock, owner of Emz Blendz. “I know the rainbow soap is really popular with the LGBT community and we were completely out, so we thought to make a big batch to donate.” The rainbow soap, available in an extra-large (5.5 ounce) size only, costs $9.95. The soap is handcrafted from scratch using all-natural ingredients such as organic extra-virgin olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut and almond oil. All soap bars are mild on skin. The company will continue to sell the rainbow soap and contribute all donations to the Pulse Victims Fund until they run out of supplies. “We’ll sell the soap indefinitely, possibly for the rest of the year,” said Whitlock. “The rainbow soap smells good, looks good, and feels good. Maybe it will bring a little joy.” The Pulse Victims Fund will be disbursed to survivors of the massacre and families of the victims. The National Center for Victims of Crime is partnering with the organization, Equality Florida, to quickly verify identities of survivors and family members. The goal is to distribute the majority of the funds within the next two months, according to a statement released by the GoFundMe website. All Emz Blendz products are handcrafted and natural. The store is owned and operated by the Whitlock family, according to Whitlock. The family works together to make the products. Emily is in charge of the store; her husband, Andy, manages branding for the company; and their daughter, Jaden, works within the store and sketches designs for product labels. Emz Blendz specializes in soap bars, but also creates a wide variety of other all-natural bath and body products, including candles, lip balm, deodorant and shampoo. Rainbow soap and other products can be bought in store at 93 Oak St., Ashland, or online at www.emzblendz.com . “I wanted to do something,” said Whitlock. “In this case, what can you do?
