--> --> Firefighters pulled alive from rubble NEW YORK (AP) - Five firefighters were pulled alive from the World Trade Center rubble today, more than two days after the landmark twin towers collapsed in a terrorist attack, authorities said. The five had been trapped in a buried SUV. Three of them were able to walk away after the amazing rescue early this afternoon, authorities said. There was no immediate word on the condition of the other two. The rescues were made more than 50 hours after two hijacked planes slammed into the twin towers, showering lower Manhattan with steel and glass. Nearly 5,000 people remain missing. Email your...
