Bhesania (Merzy) 1944-2015 Marazban J. Bhesania (Merzy) came from India to the United States in 1966 as a student and earned a Master of Science Civil Engineering degree from Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y. He started his engineering career at Stup, India. Since then he had worked at Stressteel, Skidmore, Ameron, and held various positions in the U.S. and internationally. Merzy loved sports: tennis, swimmg, cricket, pool, bridge, and sometimes played golf. He was a music aficionado, a movie fan, an avid reader, and a world traveler. He called himself a citizen of the world. Yoga was another of his passions. On July 4, 1998, Merzy came to Medford to see a friend, loved the valley and its people, and never went back to Arizona. He got a job at the community college tutoring students in Math, Statistics, Calculus, Accounting, Chemistry, and occasionally French. Students at the college and at Southern Oregon University spoke admiringly of him. Merzy left for his heavenly abode on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
