However, a closer look reveals Geneva as Oslo all over again. Just like with the Oslo accords signed in 1993, under the Geneva Accord, the Palestinians would pledge to recognize Israel, dismantle the terrorist infrastructure, end anti-Israel incitement and the teaching of hatred and murder of Jews in the schools. Does Mr. Robbins think we have all forgotten what Israel got in return for these same pledges 10 years ago with Oslo when Israel recognized the PLO, brought Arafat out of exile back to Ramallah, established the Palestinian Authority, allowed for the creation of an army with 50,000 guns and encouraged other nations to donate billions to this new entity? Perhaps we need to be reminded of the sad result: Arafat accepted every Israeli concession but then militarized the West Bank and Gaza and launched an Intifada that has gone on for years and has killed more than 1,000 Israelis and three times as many Arabs. We need solutions to the tragic situation in Israel, but not desperate ones that will, God forbid, only continue to make things worse.
