Friday, Dec. 12 Preschool Puppet Theatre: Gather around to see what Brenda Bear and friends are up to from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. the second Friday of every month at North Mountain Park Nature Center, 620 N. AHAA Fundraiser: Ashland High Arts Advocates will hold its annual Winter Fine Arts Festival at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Ashland High School Mountain Avenue Theatre, 201 S. Mountain Ave. The arts booster club fundraiser will showcase Ashland High School students' work in theater, dance, orchestra, choir, jazz and symphonic bands, fine arts and video. Siskiyou Singers: The community choir, conducted by Mark Reppert, will present Parts One and Two of J.S. WinterSpring Benefit: Gypsy Soul — singer Cilette Swann and multi-instrumentalist Roman Morykit — will present its 14th annual benefit concert for WinterSpring, a local nonprofit for those dealing with loss and grief, at the Unitarian Fellowship, 87 Fourth St. Ashland. Swann and Morykit will perform acoustic, soulful songs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. The duo will be joined by Mikey Stevens and Michael Forney to form a full band at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. The show, tiled "See Me," seeks to address individuals' tendency to look away regarding issues related to homelessness. Proceeds benefit the Ashland Community Resource Center. The show is open to all ages.  Indie Folk Concert: Bellingham, Wash. indie folk band Wild Rabbit will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Oberon's Tavern, 45 N. Main St., Ashland. The uptempo folk band incorporates a variety of influences and three distinct vocal styles, and were voted best band in their home city. Their recently recorded full-length album "The Wild North" was recorded at the noted Bear Creek Studio in Seattle where The Lumineers and Fleet Foxes have performed. Staged Reading: Thanks for the Memories Theatre Company will present a staged reading of local playwright Peter Wickliffe's original true story of Christmases past, "Christmas As It Was" at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at 1287 Oak St., Ashland.
