--> Gold & Gems wins a Web site Gold & Gems, an Ashland-based fine jewelry store, had the winning bid for a Web site Project A, Inc. donated to the Raider Club Auction, an event held to raise funds for the Southern Oregon University athletic scholarships earlier this month. "We wanted to donate a Web site to show our support of SOU athletes who are students first and athletes second," said Jim Teece, president and CEO of Project A. "I have had the opportunity to work with many students over the last 11 years and have always admired the high quality of students from SOU with athletic backgrounds." The donated Web site features state-of-the-art tools, has the ability to be up on the Web in a few hours and requires no HTML or programming knowledge to update. One year of hosting also is included with free consultations and training. Gold & Gems plans to use the site to feature the store's products and services. The Raider Club auction netted more than $50,000, double the amount raised last year, according to Rich Rosenthal, SOU sports information director. Email your...
