Discussion on homelessness set for Thursday night Wednesday Feb 22, 2017 at 8:39 PM Feb 22, 2017 at 8:39 PM Local report A panel discussion on Homelessness in the Rogue Valley is set for 5 to 8 pm. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Rogue River Room at Southern Oregon University (SOU) in Ashland. The gathering, which is hosted by the UN Club of SOU, will focus on issues of homelessness and food insecurity in the Rouge Valley and especially in Ashland, including an effort started by local individuals to host a community meal for those in need every day of the week, along with having a shelter available to those who need it, every night of the week. Hosting the panel will be Julie Akins. On the panel are Kieryn Eagy, Ron Gordon, Xander Fitzhugh and Vanessa Houk. Admission and refreshments are free.
