It will be a benefit for the Bear Creek Greenway Equestrian Association for trail maintenance along the Greenway. There will be awards to third place in both Junior and Senior divisions. The event will allow residents to see the new school and enjoy live music by Ashland musicians. Admission is free. Local children and adults with Down Syndrome, their friends, and families will be walking to help promote awareness and inclusion of individuals with Down Syndrome. There will be music, food, games and prizes. For information, call 535-8666. · GRIZZLY PEAK HIKE with the Rogue Rock Hikers of Rogue Rock Learning Center will start at 1 p.m. Sunday. Those interested should meet in the Bi-Mart parking lot at Ashland Street and Tolman Creek Road. The moderate three-mile hike will afford views of Mt. Ashland, Mt. McLoughlin and Mt. Shasta.
