Pioneer St., Ashland. The events are led by OSF actors and directors, scholars and thespians from around the country. On March 26, OSF scenic artist Gabriel Barrera will present "Wait, Is That Real," a discussion about his scenic painting techniques used in the festival's 2016 productions of "Twelfth Night," " The Yoemen of the Guard" and "The River Bride." Fellow Pynins Folk duo Fellow Pynins — banjo player Dani Aubert and mandolin player Ian Van Ornum, formerly of Patchy Sanders — will perform contemporary, eclectic and alternative folk at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Headwaters Building, 84 Fourth St., Ashland. Aubert and Van Ornum will be joined by old-time folk duo Lake Toba — mandolin and guitar player Kyle McConegle and banjo and guitar player Liat Tova Lis — from Eugene. Tickets are $10, free for kids, at Music Coop, 268 E. Main St., and at the door. Bishop Mayfield The soul singer and his band — guitarists Dave Storie and Al Dinardi, bassist John Lingafelter, drummer Denny Carmassi, vocalist Jennifer DePuglia and Gary E. Nelson, Tony Hayes and David Hubert on horns — will play a danceable mix of soul, funk, blues and original music at 9 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Howiee's on Front, 16 N. Front St., Medford. There is no cover for the show. Y&T San Francisco hard rock and heavy metal band Y&T — Dave Meniketti on guitar and lead vocals, John Nymann on guitar, Brad Lang on bass and Mike Vanderhule on drums — will perform music from its five-decade career at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at The Rogue Theatre, 143 S.E. H St., Grants Pass. General admission is $25, plus a $6.50 handling fee. See www.roguetheatre.com or call 541-471-1316. The show is open to ages 21 and older. SOU Percussion Ensembles Southern Oregon University's percussion ensembles will present "When the Boss is Away ..." at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in the Music Recital Hall on the SOU campus, 405 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The program's title refers to music professor Terry Longshore who is touring the country while on sabbatical. The concert will feature music that spans percussion ensemble literature, along with the premiere performance of music professor Bryan Jeffs' new "Midnight by the Rogue." Admission is $10, $5 for seniors and free to students. Student tickets must be purchased at the box office or by calling 541-552-6348.
