Walters, an Oregon Department of Forestry firefighter said about $1,000 worth of equipment was stolen, including a pair of fire boots, fire pants and shirt and a first aid kit. The pickup was parked in front of his home on Saint Andrews Circle in the Oak Knoll subdivision. "I was surprised, Walters said. "You just don't expect people to steal fire equipment." Anyone with information is asked to call the Ashland Police Department at 488-2211. Ashland Police & Fire 12:34 a.m. Friday - DUII, Wimer and North Main streets, adult male cited and released to a sober adult. 12:34 p.m. Thursday - Ashland man, 27, cited for climbing a tree in Lithia Park, lodged in Jackson County Jail on three municipal warrants.
