At least that’s how it seems to Viola, who’s been cast adrift in this merry world. Out of necessity, she disguises herself as a boy but quickly becomes an object of desire to the woman her employer sent her to woo. Time eventually sorts it all out, but not before Viola and everyone around her are bewitched, bothered and bewildered. This production sets the comedy in a tune-filled 1930s Hollywood. Christopher Liam Moore directs. The show runs through Oct. 30 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre on the Oregon Shakespeare Festival campus, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland. Matt Haimovitz and Christopher O'Riley The cello and piano duo will perform chamber music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, in the Music Recital Hall at Southern Oregon University, 405 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The program will feature music by Russian composers: Shostakovich’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor, Op. 40; Prokofiev’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in C major, Op. 119; and Rachmaninoff’s Sonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, Op. 19. Hollis Peach Singer Jacqui Aubert and songwriter and guitarist Dan Sherrill — along with Eric Jones on bass and Reed Bentley on drums — will debut music from the duo's new album "Sometimes We Feel the Same" at 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, at La Baguette, 340 A St., Ashland. Aubert, Sherrill and Jones are formerly of Ashland folk band Patchy Sanders. Aubert and Sherrill worked with Grammy-winning producer Dave Clauss, folk singer Jefferson Hamer of Session Americana, Konrad Meisner of the Mike + Ruthy Band and bassist Jeremy McDonald to record the album in a studio in upstate New York. Admission to the show is $5. Medford Comic Con Fans of comic book heroes, villains and other characters can visit the second annual Medford Comic Con, a mini comic book convention, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave. There will be a costume contest, art contest, vendor and informational booths, workshops and presentations, game demonstrations, face painting for kids, and a panel discussion, "Human or Superhuman: Examining the Humanity of a Super Hero." 'Legends of the Road' Craterian Performances’ Music Hall will pay tribute to the music of The Band at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, May 5-7, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. The program will feature The Pillbox Messengers — guitarists and singers Jeff Pevar, Bret Levick and Doug Warner, singers Inger Jorgensen and Jade Chavis Watt, keyboard player Don Harriss, drummer Matt Kriemelman and bassist Jeff Addicott — will present a program that draws from rock, blues and folk. Look for such songs as "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," "Up On Cripple Creek" and "The Weight." Tickets are $24 and can be purchased at the Craterian box office, 16 S.
