Ralph W. Farr Ralph W. Farr, 89, of Ashland, died Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Ashland. Walter Gerard Dimmock, Jr. Walter Gerard Dimmock, Jr., 80, of Ashland, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at Ashland Community Hospital. He was born June 5,1923 in Boston, Mass., the son of Walter and Margaret Dimmock. On Feb 23, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., he married Delores Zimmer (Dimmock), who survives him. Mr. Dimmock entered the United States Marines Jan. 10, 1942. During World War II, he served in the 1st Marine Division until being honorably discharged March 1,1945. He was a mechanical engineer and a machine designer at Hughs Aircraft in Culver City, Calif. Mr. Dimmock moved to Medford from Downey Calif., 13 years ago. His hobbies were model airplanes and model ship making and playing bridge and chess. He also enjoyed computers. Mr. Zimmock is survived by his wife, Delores Dimmock, of Ashland; his sons: Bruce Dimmock, of Ashland and Walt Dimmock of North Hollywood, Calif.; his daughter, Linda Murphy, of Medford; his sisters: Jeanne McCormack, of Weymouth, Mass.; Ernestine Worth, of Hyde Park, Mass.; Peggie Rabill, of Wellesley, Mass.; and Virginia Passeritti of New Hampshire. A graveside service was held Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Abbey Funeral. Doris M. Campbell Doris M. Campbell, 90, recently of Lighthouse Point, Florida, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003 at the home of her daughter and son in law, Diane and Larry Bryant. Arrangements are under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Ashland. Kenneth M. Chapman Kenneth M. Chapman, 88, passed away at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003. Arrangements are being made by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives & Crematory. Gregory D. Lewis The memorial service for Gregory Damon Lewis will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003 at the LDS Church, 111 Clay Street. A private interment will be at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Mr. Lewis, 38, of Ashland, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 at home. He was born April 11, 1965 at Concord, Calif. the son of Sandra and J.D. Lewis. He was raised in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1983. Greg lived in Southern California for 15 years where he was a real estate broker in Whittier, Calif. He loved people and enjoyed many sports. While in Southern California, he sponsored a little league baseball team and supported many charities. After moving to Ashland in 2002 he raised a large garden and donated several hundred pounds of produce to local organizations and those in need. Mr. Lewis was currently working at the YMCA in Ashland. He was a member of the Second Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ashland. Surviving are: his son Matthew Obregon of El Monte, Calif., his parents, Sandra and J.D. Lewis of Ashland; two brothers Guy Lewis of Yacolt, Wash. and Michael Lewis of Central Point; five sisters Sharon Seefried of Lodi, Calif., Cyndi Biondi of Jacksonville, Josette Lewis of Ashland, Shawna Scizak of Discovery Bay, Calif., and Nicole Lewis of San Diego, Calif.; and uncle and aunt Don and Roanna Beagle of Ashland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Ashland. Herman W. Hartoon Herman W. Hartoon, 61, of Ashland, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 at home.
