Hill, 82, of Ashland, died Sunday (July 18, 2004) in Portland. A private service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to: Saint Vincent de Paul's Beacon of Hope, P.O. Box 1663, Medford, OR 97501. She was born Helen Kennedy, Feb. 10, 1922, in Missoula, MT. She moved to Billings when she was 9. Helen graduated from Billings High School and Billings Normal School. For four years, she was a teacher in a one-room school house in rural Montana. She married David F. Hill, Feb. 20, 1941. The couple moved to Ashland in 1952. Helen worked for 30 years at Ideal Drugstore in Ashland. She is survived by five children: Linda Spencer, Alexandria, VA, Nancy Fox, Milwaukie, OR, Mary Carter, Port Orford, Kathy Morgan, Medford, David M. Hill, Ashland; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother William M. Kennedy; and a granddaughter, Kate Scofield.
