Alexander is now based in Boston. Godfrey is from Atlanta. The two play wild fiddle tunes, sing low-down blues and play everything from Appalachian mountain ballads to raucus rags. The Hamazons: Improvisational comedy smolders in the Southern Gothic world of American playwright and author Tennessee Williams when The Hamazons — Cil Stengel, Eve Smyth and Kyndra Laughery — present "Long Hot Summer" at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 29-30, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the Bellview Grange, 1050 Tolman Creek Road, Ashland. Inspired by such plays as "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "The Glass Menagerie," The Hamazons will deliver a full-length improvised story in two acts with an outcome that will depend on audience suggestions.
