Ashland schools want public input on superintendent search Monday Oct 17, 2016 at 3:11 PM Local report The Ashland School District will host a community meeting Wednesday as part of a two-day battery of get-togethers with parents, staff, students and community members, the goal of which is to help the school board adopt a set of qualifications for the superintendent search process. The meeting for parents and community members is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Ashland High School library, and those who attend will be invited to submit the qualifications they believe the district should prioritize as it searches for a superintendent to take over for interim superintendent Suzanne Cusick on July 1, 2017. The school board and one of its search consultants, Cec Amuchastegui, also has meetings with high school leadership students, support staff, all high school licensed and classified staff, district administrators, supervisors and community leaders set up for Wednesday and will meet with the transportation staff, two Ashland High classes (catalyst and art) and K-8 staff Thursday. Those unable to attend a meeting can fill out an online survey — link available at www.ashland.k12.or.us — which will be available until Oct. 25.
