The man was taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center for a mental evaluation. Wednesday 2:49 p.m. — Police arrested a 58-year-old man for driving while impaired after he hit a bicyclist at Lithia Way and Second Street. Wednesday 11:30 p.m. — Police seized a handgun at 299 Meadows Drive. They held it for safekeeping, and it should be returned to the owner.
