WOW! I am so excited to see that the beautiful crumbling residuum of broken down pump-house cement is under consideration for historic preservation. We should all thank the Ashland Gun Club for preserving what undoubtedly would have been vandalized into extinction by now if the AGC, if their gate, were not there. I expect that Lithia Park, an actual and significant memory of Lithia days, would pale in comparison to this decayed rubble. This is right up there with Plymouth Rock in historical significance. In fact, I am going to call all of my relatives in Boston right now and urge them to fly out and view this astoundingly beautiful and important historic cement. McGregor L.
