Can you say "Person on the Street" and be a little more gender balanced? Stephanee - Ashland OR - May 5th, 8:24 PM "Man on the Street" refers to Michael LeBel who is, not coincidentally, a man on a street. I doubt he would enjoy people "gender balancing" him... I for one, am sick of REVERSE DISCRIMANTION, which is practiced under the term "Affirmative Action", and that is part and parcel of "P.C.". Leave the language alone; it's not that bad, and at what point do you let a few change the language of the many? "Man" in this term above, is not the least bit deragotory or exclusive. Unless, that is, you wanted to change the word "MANkind" into "personkind" [no ring to it..bad idea]. PC is EVERYWHERE - Ashland OR - May 7th, 5:41 PM Hey Steph, while we're at changing the "man's" language, let's change the word Harassment to aggrivatingsomeone, because when you break it down, har ass ment, it's derogatory and it refers to a woman's backside. Maybe when we all speak in binary ( 0s and 1s ) then, and only then will we be free of offending the masses. Woops, that last word has the word has a bad word in it too, let's get rid of it, especially in our grade school reading literature!
