And seemingly inevitably, it’s something fun, like bacon or beer. Check out these secrets to a long life, as told by centenarians. Beer Mark Behrends of Nebraska is 110 and recently said his secret to a long life is drinking one can of beer every day. At 3 p.m. Not sure how he managed that when he was working for a living, but that’s his other secret. Wikipedia Bacon Pearl Cantrell of Texas said two years ago that she eats bacon every day. “I love bacon,” she told NBC. We’re right with you, Pearl. Wikipedia Coffee, lots of coffee John Ingram McMorran of Michigan lived to 113 and said his secret was coffee. Coffee before every meal. He also recommended people “stay away from cheap whiskey.” Wikipedia Whiskey Ellen Fox of England said, when she turned 100, that her secret was having some whiskey after breakfast. Wikipedia Olive oil Jeanne Louise Calment of France lived to be a whopping 122 years old. Her secret was olive oil. She poured it on her food and rubbed it on her skin.
