December 05. 2014 6:05PM AHS arts festival is Friday Ashland High School’s Winter Fine Arts Festival will be held Friday, Dec. 12, at the AHS Mountain Avenue Theatre and Commons. The exhibits and silent auction begin at 5:30 p.m. and performances start at 7 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for Ashland High Arts Advocates, a booster club for the arts made up of arts parents, alumni and students. Last year, AHAA awarded $3,500 in classroom grants to the fine and performing arts and provided more than $6,000 in summer enrichment scholarships as well as assistance to students participating in regional and state competitions and honor events.
